Canada GLEC Culture Education Exchange Society

Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, GLEC is a non-profit organization approved by the Canadian government. Our Society dedicates to promote the cooperation between China and the Canada in fields of education, culture and academia. The mandate of the Society is to promote respect and understanding among students and young professionals the difference between Eastern and Western cultures hence promoting multi-culturalism. Our organization continuously establishes educational partnership with a host of educational and academic institutions and other organizations. We conduct ourselves with standards of good practice, quality service, and seamless safety and logistic support.

It has been recognized that mutual understanding of each other’s way of life lead to better cooperation and collaboration in work and living which in turn translates to promotion of friendship and goodwill in globalized environment. Through culture exchange programs, participants and attendees gain international perspective and cultural tolerance. They learn how to talk and interact with people from other cultures. In addition, cultural exchange programmes help individuals to adjust and learn about new environments as more and more students travel and attend schools away from their home country. Eventually, they become well-rounded global citizen who contribute to harmonious development and common prosperity of communities where they live, study or work.

Vancouver School District

Vancouver School District or SD39 is the one of the largest school district in British Columbia with 89 elementary schools and 18 secondary schools. The district serves about 50,000 students; employs over 9,000 teachers, support staff and administrators; and has an annual operating budget of over $500million. There are 1,500 international students in Vancouver public schools.

Coquitlam School District

Coquitlam School District or SD43 is the third largest in British Columbia with 45 elementary schools, 14 middle schools, and 11 secondary schools. The district serves about 32,000 students; employs 4,000 teachers, support staff and administrators; and has an annual operating budget of over $352 million. There are about 2,000 international students studying in SD43.

Langley School District

Langley School District or SD35 is one of the earliest school districts in British Columbia The district serves about 21,000 students; employs over 2,800 teachers, support staff and administrators; and has an operating budget of over $201 million. The district has 35 elementary schools and 8 secondary schools. 900 international students.
